Felina

Breaking Bad is one show I haven’t gotten around to yet. Despite the popularity surrounding the show, I just haven’t watched it. Still, I felt that Walter White was too popular to go unmentioned.

Whether or not you’ve ever seen the show, here’s a look at what happened in the series finale:

It’s no surprise that Walter White dies. There’s only a handful of endings that anti-heroes get from what I’ve seen—death or extreme unhappiness.

They don’t get to be happy.

Most of them aren’t even happy to begin with.

Walter White was a creation of Vince Gilligan’s and was designed out of a desire to present an audience with the story of a good man who turns bad. And it seems that Breaking Bad gave fans an ending for Walter they enjoyed, and it earned praise from critics as well.

This is what one critic had to say:

I believe it's among the very best [TV finales] ... Where 'The Sopranos' opted for the most ambiguous ending and lost points, 'Breaking Bad' stayed true to itself, finding some justice, letting Walt make a character-defining true confession and even managing a bit of redemption. The fact is, the final eight episodes expertly built to this moment. Take a bow, Vince Gilligan.
